Bill Glaeser

Bill first began painting with his grandfather’s oil paints when he was young. His grandfather was a lithographer and his mother was also an artist in central New York state.

Later as a student at an army university at Biarritz France after WWII, Bill took an art course in Queen Victoria’s old villa. Before returning to College, he took another course in oil painting at The Utica (NY) Art Center under William Palmer.

After finishing college, Bill moved to Columbus to join Battelle as a mechanical engineer. At that point he started taking a painting course at the Cultural Arts Center under Tracy Steinbrook.

Bill has exhibited at City Hall, The State Attorney General’s office, MORPEC, North Market, the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Show, and the Cultural Arts Center. Bill is also a charter member of the Clintonville Arts Guild, and still works part time at Battelle as a senior research scientist.

Bill is an oil painter, but also works in pastel, silk screen, pen and ink, etchings, paper mache and water color.

He is a member of the Clintonville Arts Guild.
