Ruth Smilan

Ruth has spent the last twenty-five years perfecting her photography skills using both color and black and white, and both darkroom and digital processing. As an outdoor enthusiast, she concentrates primarily on landscape, nature, and architectural photography. She also takes the occasional informal portrait and pet portrait.

Ruth is a member of several local art groups: the Worthington Area Art League, Westerville Art League, Westbridge Camera Club, and the Ohio Art League. She has won several awards in art shows from honorable mention through first place. She was the president of the Westerville Art League for the 2007-2008 season.

The author P. F. Kluge and publisher XOXOX Press selected one of her photographs as the cover of the book Final Exam.
